Be happy y’all.

Every night before I go to sleep, I make a list of Three Good Things, a reminder of the three things that may have occurred to me throughout my day, that day. It’s not always easy; there are days when I’m engulfed by the negative. But there’s always some gem. Some nugget that made me smile, or feel good in my moment. A nap will qualify as a good thing. A lunch with a friend will qualify a good thing. A bitch session on the couch with The Teenager always qualifies as a good thing. So. Come on. Find your moment of happy. And keep that feeling close to you. Keep that feeling with you. All day and all night.

Laverne Cox: “The most important thing we can do is elevate the lived experiences and voices of actual trans people so people aren’t talking about us without us being at the table, without us being in the room. We have to empower trans people by lifting up their experiences and their stories.”

I didn’t get to Caroline’s to see Leslie Jones and I’m kicking myself for it:“If I see another 45-year-old white woman from Williamsburg saying ‘black lives matter,’ I’m going to punch you in the mouth. “Stop doing that.”

The Oscars.

Roxane Gay: “…there is no freedom from the consequences of what we say.”

This weekend, Molly Shannon won a Spirit award for best supporting actress for her role in Other People. If you haven’t seen it, please do. The best part of her Thank You speech was when Molly became Mary Gallagher. What a superstah!

An ode to Feminist Ryan Gosling.

Some cities where sex toys are banned.

Now have a laugh with Lynn Koplitz.
