I do enjoy a New York City snowfall. Today’s is no exception. Although for Rocky, well, that’s another story. My nine year-old pug does not enjoy walking in the snow. Today, for him, is no exception. As we entered the winter blitz, he halted.  He did not walk. He stood. Feet planted. Almost dead weight. Not Gonna Do It, he said, with his body language. What am I supposed to do with that? He has to use the great outdoors for his bowel movements. I chose to lift him, which, considering my recent back pain flare up, was not a great idea, onto the street, as a way to encourage him to actually walk. Still so futile, still no walking. He posed for this photo and then looked at me. He wanted to go home. One motion of a leg lift. That’s all I got out of him. So that’s where I stand. Or rather sit. On my couch. My dog winning the day.
