I’m finding more and more friends who want to discuss Game Of Thrones with me and I couldn’t be happier. (The Teenager doesn’t watch GOT, so our conversations don’t include wondering whether Tyrion will survive). Even outside my circle of friends, from Leslie Jones to the podcasts (Yes, I listen to Game of Thrones podcasts.)  to the recaps which I rely so heavily on to explain things to me, things I may have missed. Like, does Drogon know that Jon Snow can ride him too? Or whole will win the Game of Thrones? And will Arya kill Littlefinger, even though he is not on her list? Oh, all these questions I have. And now, now I have actual friends to talk about it with. Thank goodness.

There is hope for all of us looking for love.

Shona Rhimes + Dove = cool campaign.

Barbara Boxer: “Being tough doesn’t give you license to dive into an angry rage.”

Helen Mirren: I wasn’t into the very didactic feminism of the ’60s and ’70s because I liked wearing makeup and high heels. That was a no-no. It was sort of ‘That’s playing to the patriarchy.’ I was thinking, Well, I just really like it. Then as feminism developed, they realized you can like nice dresses, high-heeled shoes, and makeup. That’s not stopping you from being feminist.”

Hannah Kimberly: “My view of feminism is no longer that it is a hierarchical concept, but one that involves everyone, so I see it as more circular and all-encompassing, or as we are hearing folks say more and more these days, ‘intersectional.'”

Samantha Bee rules.

Where do women fit in the world of White Supremacy?
