How is it Friday already? It’s raining/Nor’eastering outside and my to-do list of things I need to get done today seems to be endless. Part of me would like to ignore all the things, but all the things will not be sorted unless I do the sorting. I’m the only one capable of doing the things: the grocery shopping, the picking up of prescriptions, the making of doctor’s appointments, like that. It’s almost endless, the list. Still, it’s Friday. And that means I have two days ahead of me of sleeping in, convincing Rocky, The Pug to do the same, and just…breathing. So Friday? I got you.
Cynthia Heimel, RIP.

Norma Bastidas: “I have a history of a lot of abuse and a lot of pain. The pain [of running] doesn’t bother me because once you understand pain and suffering, you can do pain very easily. This is pain I can quit at any time. It’s my choice. Plus [ultra-running] was fun.”
