Not him, not him, not him too. I’m so fucking tired of being disappointed by these supposed heroes, these brilliant men who take on society through comedy and art, and justice and law and music and rhythm. These men I put on a pedestal, for being aligned with my feminist rhetoric, for having the backs of women, for being a loud voice amongst advocates. Eric Schneiderman? Eric Schneiderman! I sound like Chris Rock in his take on Michael Jackson: “Another kid? Another kid?” This man was a champion of women. This man was also the New York dream: debonair Attorney General who would find a way to deal with Trump, if all else failed. All Eric Schneiderman accomplished was the sad truth: he’s as guilty of misogyny as these others, the Weinsteins and the Cosbys and their ilk. The treasurers of abuse, these vile men. And now we add Eric Schneiderman to this heap of garbage, where he belongs. Away from women, shackled in his shame.
